Commissioner Gonzales Announces Non-Depository Financial Institution Annual Supervision Fee for Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
Monday, October 28, 2024 | 09:01amPursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 45-1-118(i), Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions Commissioner Greg Gonzales announced today the annual supervision fee for non-depository financial institutions in fiscal year 2024-2025, effective November 1, 2024. The fee is $1,550.00 for money transmission licensees, $1,150.00 for flexible credit licensees and mortgage licensees, and $750.00 for check cashing licensees, deferred presentment licensees, premium finance licensees, industrial loan and thrift registrants, and title pledge licensees. Mortgage loan originators will continue to pay a licensing and renewal fee of $100.00 and a sponsorship fee of $100.00.

Helene Emergency Assistance Loans (HEAL) Program Underway For East Tennessee

Bill Lee shared additional guidance on how communities impacted by Hurricane Helene may opt-in to receive immediate financial relief via the HEAL Program, which was established swiftly in the days following the disaster. The $100 million fund directly serves the health and wellness of Tennesseans in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Counties eligible for assistance include Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington. If any additional counties are added to the Major Disaster Declaration for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Categories A through G, they will become eligible for the program.
