Tennessee Department of Human Services Office in Shelby County Temporarily Closed on South Third Street
The DHS South Third Street location is temporarily closed due to an external event that caused a power outage resulting in needed repairs. The temporary closure is due to necessary repairs after an external event earlier today caused a power surge in the building resulting in a power outage. The TDHS in partnership with the Department of General Services (DGS) and in consultation with the Memphis Light, Gas, and Water Department (MLGW) determined that the temporary office closure was necessary to complete the repairs. The other Shelby County Department of Human Services’ Family Assistance office located at 3230 Jackson Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee will continue to be open for services.
