Message from the First Lady 2014

Bill and I are excited for the fourth annual Tennessee’s Home for the Holidays open house event at the Tennessee Residence held in December. We feel very blessed to live in our state’s beautiful executive residence, but the Residence is also Tennessee’s home. Tennessee’s Home for the Holidays is a wonderful opportunity to welcome guests from all across the state during this very special season.

This year, we will be highlighting "Tennessee Landscapes," showcasing the natural beauty of our state. Tennessee has 54 State Parks and each will be a partner to create spectacular decorations representing the scenic landscapes of west, middle and east Tennessee. In Conservation Hall, the trees will be decorated by Tennessee State Parks Junior Rangers to showcase the many ways we enjoy our outdoors. Whether it’s taking a hike or going for a swim, Tennessee landscapes are beautiful to take in and fun to enjoy.

Bill and I hope that you and your friends and family will visit the Tennessee Residence for this year’s Tennessee’s Home for the Holidays, and we thank you for helping us bring holiday cheer to Tennessee’s Home!
