Description The Tennessee Department of Agriculture annually distributes nearly 30 million pounds of USDA surplus and purchased foods to schools and charitable institutions. These funds will be allocated to the state's 24 community action programs and food banks that serve the needy to help cover costs associated with the distribution of additional food commodities.
