Community Arts Development

The Community Arts Development program promotes the role and presence of the arts in all Tennessee communities through nonprofits, public entities, multidisciplinary arts-focused organizations, and non-arts groups that produce occasional arts projects. The program seeks to enhance and develop all arts and non-arts groups that act as advocates for local community arts issues and arts programming. We provide information resources, referrals and funding assistance to established and emerging organizations that are community-minded and culturally democratic.

The Community Arts Development program provides the following resources:

Arts Build Communities Grants
• Student Ticket Subsidy Grants
Art in Action: A Cultural Inventory Toolkit
• Arts Project Support and General Operating Support Grants for Community Arts & Interdisciplinary Arts Activities
• Information, Resources and Referral for Emerging Arts Councils and Arts Organizations
Technical Assistance through Capacity Building Services
