HOW TO MANAGE AN INDIVIDUAL ARTIST FELLOWSHIP

TIMELINE FOR INDIVIDUAL ARTIST FELLOWSHIPS
| July 1: | Grant award letters are mailed to all applicants. If you do not receive a letter by July 15, call the appropriate program director. |
| September 30: | Deadline for submitting a W-9 Form. All fellowship recipients must send a W-9 Form to the Commission in order to get a grant contract. Note: Do not wait until September 30th, send the W-9 Form in well before the deadline. |
| October 30: | Deadline for sending back both signed contracts, an Invoice and a letter of thanks addressed to the Commission. You should receive the contracts shortly after you have submitted the W-9 Form. Again, send the signed contracts, invoice and letter back well before the deadline. When the Commission receives both signed contracts, the invoice, and letter you will have completed your closeout of your fellowship and your funds will be sent to you. |
EXAMINE YOUR FELLOWSHIP AWARD LETTER
Fellowships are announced by an award letter mailed on or around July 1. This letter contains very important information and instructions on how to manage your fellowship. Make sure to read it thoroughly and carefully. It contains the amount of your fellowship award and important dates and instructions.
W-9 FORM
Immediately fill out an IRS W-9 Form and return it to Vickie McPherson, Arts Program Administrative Assistant, by fax at 615-741-8559, by email at vickie.mcpherson@tn.gov, or by mail to the Tennessee Arts Commission, 401 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37243.
