TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION TO MEET AT HENRY HORTON STATE PARK
NASHVILLE - - The Tennessee Arts Commission will hold its next quarterly meeting at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill , Tennessee . The meeting will be held Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. (CST).
According to Stephanie Barger Conner, chair of the Commission, the meeting agenda will include reports from the Arts Education director on the Value Plus Schools program, the upcoming Arts Talk and Cultural Crossroads conferences, and an update on arts advocacy activities. A report will also be provided by the Tennessee State Museum committee.
The consent agenda will include a review of the Commission's governance policy, quarterly meeting schedule, monitoring schedule, committee appointments, and the Fiscal Year 2008 state budget.
While at Henry Horton State Park , many Commission members and staff will attend planning meetings that will help in preparing the Commission's next strategic plan.
The Commission's quarterly meetings are open to the public.
The Tennessee Arts Commission is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to ensure the citizens of Tennessee have access to and participate in the arts.
