TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION ANNOUNCES DATE FOR QUARTERLY MEETING
NASHVILLE - - The Tennessee Arts Commission will hold its next quarterly meeting in Nashville on Thursday, November 29. The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. (CST), and will be held at the Commission’s office at 401 Charlotte Avenue.
According to Ed Gerace, chair of the Commission, the meeting agenda will include reports from the Audit Committee, Interboard Committee for Public Awareness, and a report from the Tennessee State Museum. Other reports will be presented on Advocacy, Revenue Projection, Fiscal Year 2008-2009 Improvement Budget, and an update on the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies meeting which will be held in Chattanooga in 2008.
In addition to the regular agenda, part of the meeting will be devoted to Cultural Crossroads allocations. Cultural Crossroads grants assist communities in promoting their cultural heritage and special characteristics through the arts.
The Commission’s quarterly meetings are open to the public.
The Tennessee Arts Commission is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to ensure the citizens of Tennessee have access to, and participate in the arts.
