TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION TO MEET AT W.O. SMITH NASHVILLE COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL
NASHVILLE - - The Tennessee Arts Commission will hold its next quarterly meeting in Nashville Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. (CT). The meeting will be held at the W.O. Smith Nashville Community School, located at 1125 Eighth Avenue South.
According to Donna Chase, chair of the Commission, the agenda will include reports from the Tennessee State Museum, Interboard Committee for Governor’s Arts Awards, Interboard Committee for Public Awareness, Peer Advisory Panels, and an update on Arts Education activities. The consent agenda will include an update on the Fiscal Year 2010 budget.
Prior to the meeting, Commission members and staff will tour the W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School building. The school recently moved into a new $5.3 million facility with additional studio space, 200-seat recital hall, and a music library.
The Commission’s quarterly meetings are open to the public.
