TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION ANNOUNCES DATE FOR QUARTERLY MEETING
NASHVILLE - - The Tennessee Arts Commission will hold its next quarterly meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in Nashville. The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. (CST),and will be held at the Commission’s office at 401 Charlotte Avenue.
According to Ed Gerace, chair of the Commission, the meeting agenda will include reports on Arts Advocacy Day, along with a Legislative Update. Those attending will also receive updates from the Interboard Committee on Public Awareness. Reports will be provided on the Talk To Me, Tennessee Conference, Peer Advisory Panels, Arts Education/Value Plus Schools Program, American Masterpieces/Fisk Jubilee Singers Project, the 2008 National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) meeting in Chattanooga, and an update on the State Heritage Craft Center. The Tennessee State Museum Committee will provide a report on recent and upcoming activities.
The Commission’s quarterly meetings are open to the public.
The Tennessee Arts Commission is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to ensure the citizens of Tennessee have access to, and participate in the arts.
