TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION SCHEDULES QUARTERLY MEETING IN CHATTANOOGA
NASHVILLE - - The Tennessee Arts Commission will hold its next quarterly meeting Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 10 a.m. (ET) in Chattanooga. The meeting will be held at The Chattanoogan Hotel, located at 1201 South Broad Street. The Commission meeting will be held concurrently with the annual meeting of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, which is holding Assembly 2008 in Chattanooga. Special guest at the Commission’s quarterly meeting will be Dana Gioia, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. Gioia will extend greetings to those in attendance.
According to Donna Chase, chair of the Commission, the agenda will include reports from the Tennessee State Museum, Tennesseans for the Arts, and the Audit Committee. Reports about the proposed State Craft Center, ongoing Public Awareness Campaign, and the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies will also be presented.
The Consent Agenda will include discussion on the quarterly meeting schedule, monitoring schedule, committee appointments, and the FY2010 state budget.
The Commission’s quarterly meetings are open to the public.
