Tennessee's Day of Hope
March 10, 2026 is being celebrated as Tennessee’s Day of Hope. For so many people, the hope of a better tomorrow is a source of strength and motivation to continue the work to overcome the hurdles in their lives or support the needs of a loved one, friend, or neighbor. For this seventh annual Day of Hope, we aim to inspire a collective sense of statewide hopefulness in the face of our state’s significant challenges in the fields of addiction and mental illness.
New for 2026, TDMHSAS is sharing branding for Day of Hope (pictured at right). The design features hands clasped in partnership and support, a sunrise to signify new beginnings and possibilities, and warm colors.
Hope Lives Here – Social Media Campaign
Leading up to, during, and after the Day of Hope, we would love to create a movement on social media around the theme “Hope Lives Here.” If you want to participate, you can shoot a short video where you talk about what gives you or your community hope. Video ideas could include:
- Recovery Story
- Faith Testimony
- A moment of transformation
- A simple message of hope from someone who’s passionate
If you’re not comfortable posting a video, that’s OK! You can still participate with a post of a photo and a few meaningful words. When you post it to your social media accounts, make sure you use #TNDayofHope and tag the department (@tdmhsas on Instagram and at this link on Facebook). We’d love to see at least one story from each county—wouldn’t that be a wonderful depiction of how HOPE is alive all over our state!
Check back as events and details for the Day of Hope are added, and in the meantime, connect with our Office of Faith-Based Initiatives at this link.
