The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS) is Tennessee’s statutory authority in mental health and substance abuse services. The Department plans, provides, and promotes an array of services from prevention and early intervention to resiliency and recovery. We operate four Regional Mental Health Institutes across the state serving acute, extended, and civil/forensic care patients for evaluation and treatment. Our facilities are fully accredited by the Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Our Central Office in Nashville, Tennessee houses our program, planning, licensure, and support staff.
If you are looking for a dynamic work environment where employees are valued and encouraged to grow, then TDMHSAS is the right place for you. Our goal is to build a culture that brings out the best in our staff and offers the highest quality care for consumers and their families. With us, your expertise will be valued and your skills will be challenged and expanded. We celebrate diversity and provide a place where employees are part of something larger than themselves, where they can take pride in their work, and where their work makes a difference.
