Rita Baumgartner currently serves as President and CEO of Easter Seals Tennessee, a statewide organization and one of 73 US affiliates. The mission of Easter Seals Tennessee is to provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their community. Easter Seals Tennessee currently serves over 600 individuals with disabilities and their families through Supported Living, Supported Employment, Adult Day, Post Polio, and Camping and Respite services. Prior to her employment at Easter Seals, she was employed with DBM, a global consulting and career transition firm, and as the Vice President of a national sales and marketing organization, Crossmark, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, where she spent 12 years.
Easter Seals has participated in the DIDD initiative, wherein individuals have transitioned from a nursing home setting to individual community homes. The life changing transformation for those involved has been nothing short of amazing.
Some of Rita’s activities include membership in Community Health Charities, Nashville Chamber of Commerce, and the Center for Non-Profit Management. She is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and attended Jacksonville State University. She and her husband Clyde reside in Brentwood, Tennessee. Together they have four children and four grandchildren.
