Tennessee State School Bond Authority Audit Committee
(Reporting of Illegal, Improper, Wasteful, or Fraudulent Activities)

The Tennessee State School Bond Authority is committed to high standards of ethics, conduct, and fiduciary responsibility. Thus, the Audit Committee of the Tennessee State School Bond Authority (TSSBA) has been established to further the prevention and detection of illegal, improper, wasteful, or fraudulent activities. The TSSBA Audit Committee has designated the Office of Audit and Consulting Services of the Department of Finance and Administration as the entity that is empowered to receive and follow up on any reported activities on its behalf.

To confidentially report allegations of suspected illegal, improper, wasteful, or fraudulent activities related to TSSBA, please contact the Office of Audit and Consulting Services at (615) 741-4892, by email at Ronald.Maupin@tn.gov, or by mail at the following address:

At a minimum, the following information should be provided in any report:

  1. Description of the nature of the improper activity.
  2. Name(s) of the employee(s), individual(s), vendor(s), contractor(s), and/or entity(s) engaging in reported activity.
  3. Approximate or actual date the activity took place.

Additional information is often needed to conduct an investigation; therefore, information such as your name and phone number may be necessary to facilitate a prompt investigation.

Any report received will be held in strictest confidence and will be communicated to members TSSBA Audit Committee. During any subsequent investigation, information may be shared with members of TSSBA, law enforcement, or with any other individuals or agencies as deemed necessary and appropriate.

In the event the individual making a report believes that the Office of Audit and Consulting Services should be bypassed, such information should be reported to the Comptroller of the Treasury's Hotline at 1-800-232-5454 .
