According to the Federal Trade Commission, Tennessee ranks 25th in the United States for frauds reported per capita. Therefore, Consumer Affairs addresses groups across the state to educate consumers on fraud prevention and provides tips on how to avoid misleading business offerings. Through educational materials and consumer awareness programs, the division provides consumers with information needed to make smart buying decisions.
