Executive Director, Child Permanency
Sandra Wilson is the Executive Director of the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services Office of In-Home, Permanency & Independent Living Services.
In this capacity, she guides and oversees program operations related to family assessments, in home services, child and youth permanency, including foster care and adoptions, resource home eligibility, interstate compacts, post adoption records access and youth transition services.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Wilson worked as a Project Manager in the DCS Commissioner’s Office for seven years, where her responsibilities included field practice improvement initiatives and oversight of the Department’s accreditation efforts.
Before joining DCS, Ms. Wilson worked for more than 20 years as the Regional Administrator of Public Human Service and Child Welfare programs in Louisville, Kentucky where her role included program leadership for TANF, Medicaid , Child Support, Adult Protective Service and Child Welfare programs.
She also has worked as a technical consultant for the Annie E. Casey Family to Family Program, and has more than 10 years of experience with integrated community partnership boards.
