Assessment Literacy

Our Goal

The goal of Assessment Literacy Training is to increase understanding of student performance data to ensure that all students can be provided with appropriate learning opportunities.

Our Focus

Assessment Literacy Training focuses on exploring multiple measures of student performance.  We present current information in a variety of formats that training participants can easily use and share with others.

Our Training Sessions

Our training sessions address all assessments within the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP):  Achievement Test, Writing Assessment, Gateway, End of Course, and the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).  Examples of topics include:

• Test Report Interpretation
• Data Analysis
• Test Development
• Test Item Review
• Standard Setting
• Test Security and Test Administration
• Test Processing and Scoring
• Quality Control on Test Data

We also provide training on other measures of student performance:

• Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System
• State Report Card

Customized to meet the needs of different audiences:
