The purpose of Apple Bites is to increase direct connection between the Tennessee Department of Education and local classroom educators. As the department most frequently works with administrators, Apple Bites aims to reach out to teachers and inform them of what is happening in the department. The Apple Bites articles seek to explain how the work of the department can benefit them and announce awards or good news related to education in Tennessee.
Education Insider is an internal department newsletter meant to improve communications among the vast number of employees, many of whom work in different parts of the state. This newsletter aims to help create a sense of unity in the Department, convey appreciation and boost morale.
Education Connections is a one-page snapshot of ways in which the department partners with external constituents to boost education in Tennessee. This bimonthly newsletter also summarizes recent news and upcoming events that may be of interest to the community.
