Statewide Student Management System (SSMS)

Implementation Status Update as of 5/24/04

Pilot: Stage I : The initial data conversion and training for selected Star_Student modules (basics, attendance, DBA (Data Base Administrator), and scheduling) has been completed for the eight districts in Stage I. Live data conversion is underway.

Pilot: Stages II & III : The initial data conversion and training for selected Star_Student modules (basics, attendance, DBA, and scheduling) is underway for the 20 districts in Stages II & III and is scheduled to be completed in July, 2004.

Phase II: Stage IV : The initial data conversion process is underway and training for selected Star_Student modules (basics, attendance, DBA, and scheduling) is currently being scheduled for the six districts in Stage IV.

Phase II: Stage V : The process to initiate data conversion and schedule Star_Student training for the remaining 31 Phase II districts will begin in August, 2004.

EasyIEP : An Advisory Task Force that includes school district representatives is working on the design of the TN version of the IEP. SDE and pilot district staff have completed EasyIEP “expert training” sessions. Site visits scheduled for the pilot districts will be completed the first week in June. Training on the TN version of the IEP will begin in July for the pilot districts.
