State of Tennessee Employee Discount Program

The State of Tennessee Employee Discount Program exists to offer state employees discounts on products and services from various vendors in order to express appreciation for the valued service state employees provide Tennessee citizens.

All vendors who wish to participate in the program must complete the Vendor Application Form. To be considered, the vendor's offer must be of added value or an actual discount. Posted discount offers are limited to attractions, recreational facilities, products, services, as well as entertainment and sporting events. The vendor will be notified via electronic mail whether the discount offer is approved. If approved, the vendor must provide a one-page electronic document that includes all pertinent discount information.

Program Details

In its discretion, the State of Tennessee will post information about discounts for state employees from approved vendors on an online bulletin board. The one-page electronic document vendors must provide should include applicable pricing or examples, contact and customer service information, company name and address or locations, any employment verification requirements, passwords or account numbers, and any limitations or restrictions that apply to the offer.

Vendors' requirements for state employees to receive discounts may vary and can include coupons, flyers, and/or presentation of a State of Tennessee identification badge. Employees should contact the individual vendor should they have questions about discounts, including questions regarding proof of employment requirements or eligibility limitations, as some vendors may wish to include retired employees.

Vendors must inform the State of Tennessee of any changes that may affect the discount. A vendor may remove its discount by submitting a written request to employee.discounts@tn.gov.

No unauthorized information regarding this online bulletin board should be posted on state property to ensure compliance with any "No Solicitation" policies. At no time may a vendor initiate unsolicited contact, in any medium, with state employees at work locations. The State of Tennessee does not solicit discounts. Discounts are offered solely at the discretion of the vendor and must be offered in the ordinary course of business.

The State of Tennessee assumes no obligations for arrangements based on the discounts listed, as all arrangements are between the state employee, as a consumer, and the vendor. Anything purchased with a discount from the online bulletin board is the sole responsibility of the individual state employee.

Discounts must be available to all state employees. No offer shall be allowed to compete or conflict with any current state program. The State reserves the right to decline to post a requested discount or to remove a vendor from the program for any reason with or without notice.
