The Memphis-Shelby County Health Department provides daily air quality forecasts in Shelby County, Tennessee, and Crittenden, Arkansas. Air quality forecasts provide advance warning of days when air quality is expected to become unhealthy. Individuals and businesses can plan to take actions that reduce air pollution and protect health when unhealthy air quality is forecasted.
The Mid-South Clean Air Coalition includes the mayors of Shelby County and all suburban mayors, the Memphis/Shelby County Health Department, the Memphis Regional Chamber, Memphis Light, Gas and Water, Tennessee Valley Authority, Memphis Area Transit Authority, Sierra Club, American Lung Association of Tennessee, NAACP and other civic and health organizations.
