Working Well health screenings are offered FREE, to all benefits eligible employees as part of your employee benefits package. You do not have to be enrolled in the State Group insurance plan to be eligible. Spouses are invited to participate at the discounted rate of $78. The optional PSA test is available at the discounted rate of $23 and the optional osteoporosis screening is available at the discounted rate of $30. Awareness plays a huge role in health improvement and the State of Tennessee wants you to have all the information you need to live a full and healthy life.

The examiners at the worksite health screening will collect several body measurements: height, weight, (which will be used to calculate body mass), and resting blood pressure. They will also collect a finger stick blood sample that will be used to determine your cholesterol levels, triglycerides, glucose levels, as well as other factors that can lead to lifestyle related diseases. All information is kept confidential and complies with the requirements of the Health Insurance Accountability and Portability Act (HIPAA). We do not test for illicit drugs, HIV/AIDS, or hepatitis.

Because most of the risk factors identified through My HealthIQ personal health profile have no symptoms, participating in My HealthIQ personal health profile can help you proactively identify risk factors which can lead to chronic illness. Obtaining this information will allow you to make lifestyle changes to improve your health and well-being.

Because this information is so important to you in maintaining good health and in preventing illness, the State of Tennessee provides this program as an employee benefit. It is estimated that the onsite screening time should take approximately 20-30 minutes. With screening locations across the state, please choose the one closest to you or wait until one is held in your area, as your drive time should be limited to no more than one hour each way. Time away from work may be charged to administrative leave. In all cases, verify your time away from work with your supervisor.

To register you can call 1.800.993.5537 between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. for an appointment. You can also register online using the online scheduler. Once on the page you will need to enter the requested information. After you are logged on, click the "add new event" button. Then choose the screening location you wish to attend, date, time and the timing of your email reminder. You will receive confirmation of your appointment immediately. You may return to this site to cancel or change your appointment in the future.
