| Description |
This course is directed toward fire service personnel currently serving as fire officers with fire ground responsibilities or those anticipating such responsibilities in the near future. The course
identifies the fire officer’s role as a supervisor, emphasizing planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling. Subjects include discipline, motivation, public relations, training, and concentrates on human relationships: why people act and react the way they do. Class activities provide
the student the ability to develop and enhance problem-solving skills. The course meets selected requirements of NFPA 1021: Fire Officer Professional Qualifications. |
