Strategic Sourcing Partnership with Global E-Procure
After a competitive and comprehensive RFP process, the Central Procurement Office has formed a partnership with Global E-Procure (GEP) to work on a new initiative called Strategic Sourcing. The purpose of this initiative is to create cost savings and efficiencies in the State of Tennessee’s procurement process. There are several phases to the project, which include an analysis of State expenditures, cost savings creation from targeted expenditure categories, and knowledge transfer by GEP consultants to help guide State personnel through reductions in costs of goods and services.
Project work is governed by an Executive Steering Committee to be led by the Chief Procurement Officer, Jessica Robertson. The Steering Committee will select expenditure categories to pursue for savings creation based upon the spend analysis conducted by GEP.
Global E-Procure is a spend management firm headquartered in Clark, New Jersey, with offices and operations located in North & South America, Europe, and Asia. They are one of the leading providers of strategic sourcing services in the world, and have put together a talented team to work with the Central Procurement Office to ensure the project’s success.
