Care of Capitol Complex Grounds
State of Tennessee Real Estate Asset Management Horticulture Team maintains a regular pruning, planting and fertilization program for all landscape areas at the Capitol Complex Grounds. The team is very busy year round with the planting of tulips, irises, seasonal landscape and other plants. The Horticulture program includes turf grass maintenance, arboriculture, pesticide application and general care of grounds and facilities. The Horticultural Manager is responsible for the irrigation systems and display fountains and walkways. The grounds contain many historical artifacts and monuments that preserve the heritage of the State Capitol.
