NEW - NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING AND PUBLIC COMMENT

The official notice of proposed rulemaking and public comment for the draft Rules of the Physical Therapy Compact Commission can be found posted in the link above. Under the Physical Therapy Compact statute, Section 9.D.2, the notice of proposed rulemaking must be published on the website of each member state physical therapy licensing board or other publicly accessible platform or the publication in which each state would otherwise publish proposed rules.  The deadline to submit any written comments pertaining to the proposed rules is by 5:00 PM ET on October 27, 2017. All comments must be submitted to info@ptcompact.org

PT Licensure Compact in Tennessee

Under the provisions of Tennessee Public Chapter 810 (Senate Bill 2368/House Bill 2433) of the 109 th General Assembly, the State of Tennessee entered into the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact ("the Compact") with several other states. The purpose of the Compact is to facilitate the interstate practice of physical therapy by, among other things, providing for the mutual recognition of other member states licenses, thereby enhancing the States' ability to protect the public's health and safety.
