ELIGIBLE CHILDREN |

To be eligible for the child care assistance, a child must be: ·
under age 13; or, ·
over age 13 if the child is: -
under court supervision - defined as supervision under a written
court order, as in county or state juvenile probation or parole. Typically used for before and/or after
school supervision for unruly or delinquent children; or -
physically or mentally incapable of
self-care. These
children become ineligible effective the date of their 18th birthday, or the
date of their high school graduation if this date is before they turn 19,
whichever is later. and ·
be related to, or in the “care and control”
of, the eligible caretaker as defined in the policy for Determining Household Size; or ·
live in the home and be in the
caretaker’s care and control, if they are not in the assistance unit; or ·
be included in the assistance
unit except for the fact that they receive SSI. |
