“THREE-YEAR REVIEW” DECISIONS |
|
|
|
A small percentage of incapacity
clients may qualify for a “Three-Year Review” decision. This is a continual incapacity approval for
individuals with certain medical factors.
These individuals cannot meet the standard disability criteria, but
their incapacity is considered ongoing and improvement is not expected. “Three-Year Review” decisions will have a
three-year approval. ·
When a
review is due on a medical with a “Three-Year Review” designation, complete a
review at the end of the three-year approval period and submit the review to
the MEU. These individuals do
occasionally improve and return to work, or are approved for SSI. Bulletin
