Unemployed Parents

POLICY STATEMENT

When both parents are in the home, the assistance unit will meet the deprivation requirement for Families First if the principal wage earner parent:

 

·        Is an unemployed parent (as defined in this section).

 

·        Is not on strike.

 

·        Has a labor market connection.

 

·        Has not refused, without good cause, a bona fide offer of employment or training for employment.

 

·        Has not refused to apply for or accept UC to which he/she might be entitled.
