10.7	GOOD CAUSE DETERMINATION	Food Stamp Table of Contents

1240-1-3-.44(7)	Households adversely affected because of this work requirement shall be notified by the caseworker that if good cause exists for not participating he/she should contact the caseworker and a good cause determination will be made. This determination may be by phone or office interview. If no good cause exists for non-participation in an ABAWD activity, the person will be disqualified for failure to cooperate. Good cause shall include circumstances beyond the individual’s control, such as, but not limited to, illness, illness of another household member requiring the presence of the member, a household emergency, or the unavailability of transportation.
