Tennessee Guard Military Police arrive in Virgin Islands

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - Tennessee Army National Guard Military Police from the 117th Military Police Battalion, headquartered in Athens, began their deployment to the U.S. Virgin Islands over the weekend, and continued on Monday and Tuesday.  A total of twenty personnel from the 117th Battalion and 120 personnel from Cleveland and Oneida’s 252nd MP Company are part of an overall National Guard MP contingent headed to the islands. The MP’s are providing security for supply distribution points and augment the VI local authorities.

Also, fifteen Airmen from the 164th Airlift Wing, Memphis, returned home today after providing Aerial Port Operations on St. Croix to process personnel and cargo, load and secure aircraft, and supervise units engaged in aircraft loading and unloading operations.
