Safe Driving Tips

In Tennessee, there were six fatal crashes resulting in six deaths, yielding a fatality rate of one death per 13 hours.

All six crashes were single vehicle crashes

Two of the fatalities occurred in alcohol-related accidents.

Four of the fatalities were vehicle occupants.

  • Three of the four (75%) were not wearing safety restraints.
  • One of the three was ejected from the vehicle.
  • No child passenger requiring child restraint devices was killed.

One pedestrian was killed.

One bicyclist not wearing a helmet was killed.
