Qualifications

To qualify to be a Tennessee Highway Patrol State Trooper, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

	21 Years of Age
	High School Diploma or GED
	Excellent Health
	20/100 Uncorrected Vision Each Eye
	20/30 Corrected Vision or Better
	No Felony Convictions
	Pass a Written Civil Service Exam
	Pass and Oral Interview Board
	Pass a Background Investigation
	Pass a Physical Exam
	Pass a Psychological Exam
	Pass a Physical Agility Test
	Pass a Drug Test
	Must Accept Assignment Anywhere in Tennessee
	Must Possess a Valid Drivers License (Please note: Out of State applicants must obtain a Tennessee Driver License by Date of Employment)
