City ChartersPublic Chapter No. 808 of the 105th General Assembly requires each Tennessee municipality and county to post, no later than Jan. 1, 2009, its charter of incorporation on a municipality or county Web site maintained . If a municipality or county Web site is not available, the charter must be made accessible through the Tennessee secretary of state’s Web site.
