IMPORTANT NEWS FOR EMPLOYERS OF LOBBYISTS: Employer of Lobbyist Expenditure Reports are due May 15, 2008 and must be filed electronically at iLobby.
You will need your username and password to access your account. If you do not have your username and password, you will have the option to retrieve this information on the login page of the ilobby application. You must complete every item on the form.
Please make sure to provide the name of your lobbyist(s).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Statement of Disclosure of Interest (ss-8005) for local elected officials and candidates and certain State officials (non-General Assembly) were due January 31, 2008 and may still be filed electronically at http://www.tennesseeanytime.org/conflict/. The Commission strongly encourages electronic filing. Since January 8th, over 5000 local elected officials have successfully filed on-line. The Commission staff and its Help Desk are available by telephone to assist callers with this process.
Warning letters will shortly be issued for delinquent filers. To avoid the imposition of a civil penalty, please file immediately if you have not done so already.
PAPER FILING NOW PERMITTED: The Commission decided on January 15, 2008 that Disclosure of Interest Statements by local elected officials and candidates and certain State officials may be filed on paper which will be transferred to an electronic form. Paper forms may be downloaded and submitted by mail to the Commission. Click for Statement of Disclosure of Interest (ss-8005) and Instructions.
CHECK FOR MISSING FORMS: The Commission has been informed by the electronic system vendor that some electronic filings made on January 8 and 9 were not saved by the system to the on-line database. Since there is no way to tell for sure which filings were not saved, the Commission is asking that persons who may have filed electronically on those dates please check the website and make sure their statements are shown. The Commission regrets this error and appreciates your patience and understanding.

DEADLINE EXTENDED: The Commission has determined that it will not impose sanctions for late filing of Statements of Disclosure of Interest (ss-8005) so long as such statements are filed by February 15, 2008.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Lobbyist and Employer of Lobbyist Registration.
Electronic filing for Lobbyists will not be available as of close of business December 11, 2007 in order that the Commission can convert to the new electronic filing system for both Lobbyists and Employers of Lobbyists. In addition, as of December 11, 2007, Employers will no longer be able to submit paper registration forms.
The Commission anticipates that the new electronic filing system for both Lobbyists and Employers will be available on December 18, 2007.
For 2008, the registration year for Lobbyists and Employers of Lobbyists shall be January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008. Lobbyists and Employers who renew their lobbyist agreements or establish new relationships must register within seven (7) days of entering an agreement.
For 2008, Employers MUST now register electronically and pay registration fees on-line.

Lobbyists are reminded that the last session for mandatory lobbyist training for 2007 is December 4, 2007 and will take place in the Legislative Plaza, Hearing Room 16. Lobbyists should register immediately by e-mailing Linda.Creasman@state.tn.us or calling (615) 253-8634. For out of state lobbyists, the training will be available live over the Internet by going to a link on the Legislature's website or on the Commission's website. Pre-registration is required. |

The 2008 Disclosure of Interest Statement is due January 31, 2008. The Statement may be filed electronically or by paper. and county) that they are required to adopt an Ethics Code by no later
than June 30, 2007. In addition, a copy of this
Code must be filed with the Ethics Commission (or, if the local government
entity has adopted the "model ethics code" from the County Technically
Advisory Service, "CTAS", or the Municipal Technical Advisory
Service, "MTAS", then the local government entity must file
a Notice with the Ethics Commission verifying that they have adopted the
CTAS or MTAS Model Code). If you need any assistance with your Ethics
