The Right-of-Way Division Engineering Office is responsible for providing right-of-way personnel for attendance at public hearings, PS&E conferences and right-of-way public meetings. The office also provides witnesses upon request from the Attorney General's Office for testimony at condemnation trials, including the giving of depositions and attendance at pre-trial conferences. The engineering staff checks all title reports for compliance with roadway plans and makes plans revisions as appropriate. The office provides technical assistance in the reading and interpretation of roadway plans. It writes and checks all metes and bounds description of properties to be acquired and prepares and submits plans revisions as necessary to update, correct and supplement roadway plans as the changes relate to right-of-way matters.
