Academic Common Market for Non-Tennessee Residents

What is the process?

  1. Review your state’s eligibility criteria as they differ by state.
  2. Find the institution and program you are interested in on the ACM Inventory.  If the program is not in the inventory, but the degree program is not offered at any of the public colleges or universities in your state, you may nominate the program.  Some state and institutions have additional criteria and this information is listed in the ACM Limitations.
  3. Apply to the institution and program you are interested in.  Note that institutions may have additional forms and deadlines for ACM participation.
  4. Once you have been accepted into the program, submit the ACM application for your state.
  5. Follow up with the institution after receiving your certification.

Programs

Over 1,800 programs at the baccalaureate and higher degree levels in over 140 public colleges and universities currently participate in the ACM.  If the program is not in the inventory, but the degree program is not offered at any of the public colleges and universities in your state, you may nominate it.

For additional program criteria and limitations for states and institutions, see the list below.
