Eddie Smith
Eddie Smith is a former State Representative from Knoxville, TN. A freelance Live Event Producer and current Director of Programs and Development for Childhelp Tennessee, a child abuse and neglect organization in Knoxville, Eddie earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Tusculum College. Over the last few years, Eddie has also served on the Southern Regional Education Board. During the time serving in Nashville, Eddie spearheaded education reforms and innovations such as creating the Recovery High School Legislation currently being vetted by Knox County Schools, and expanding the portfolio’s for teachers in non-tested subjects to help them in being recognized for their classroom achievements. Eddie also worked with the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to create legislation to help students at our public institutes of higher education such as the Free Speech on Campus Bill and the Tuition Transparency Bill.
