This program is aimed at microenterprise development across the state. Grantee organizations provide access to existing and future underserved and underrepresented microenterprises located in designated rural and urban core areas to provide education, tools and resources. Microenterprises, or businesses with 5 or fewer employees including the owners, comprise the largest number of firms (80K not including nonemployers) in Tennessee and access to resources is critical to their success. Grants are available to organizations that serve microenterprises located urban core areas and rural regions of the state.
