The Labor and Education Alignment Program (LEAP) serves to encourage collaboration across education and industry in Tennessee. As a part of this program, the Center for Economic Research in Tennessee (CERT) annually evaluates job classifications for which Tennessee employers have a high demand to fill. For each of Tennessee’s nine regions, CERT analyzed occupations with high numbers of job postings, hires and/or job openings relative to an occupation’s total employment.
The 2017 report (link below) elaborates on this evaluation as well as postsecondary programs of study required to fill in-demand jobs.
