Mine Safety Training and Annual Statistical Reports
Mine Safety Training
Mine safety training is mandated by the state of Tennessee and the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). The Department of Labor and Workforce Development is authorized and directed to organize and conduct training and educational programs for the mining industry in Tennessee which will comply with rules and regulations promulgated by the mine safety and health administration of the United States department of labor for such training and education (Tenn. Code Ann. §59-12-106).
MSHA requires all miners and contractors working on mine property to receive comprehensive safety training.
