The following report is an update on the impact of the Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Act of 2013. The report gives a snapshot of changes and progress occurring in calendar year 2023.
The REWARD Program Advisory Committee’s purpose is to be a resource for the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation on issues related to its mission of returning employees to work and reducing disabilities.

The committee hears disputes on medical bill payments between providers and insurers and advises the administrator on issues relating to the medical fee schedule and medical care cost containment in the workers’ compensation system.
The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (TDCI) announced that workers’ compensation insurance premiums will decline for most Tennessee businesses in 2024 for the 11th consecutive year.
