State Soil Conservation Committee to Meet

NASHVILLE - The State Soil Conservation Committee will meet Dec. 7 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. CST at the Marriott Cool Springs located at 700 Cool Springs Boulevard in Franklin, Tenn. The meeting will take place in the Quarter Horse conference room.

The agenda includes approval of previous meeting minutes, reports from partner agencies, organizations and ex-officio members and general discussion. The meeting is open to the public.

The SSCC was created by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1939 for the purpose of assisting in the development of local soil conservation districts. The committee advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to soil conservation and water quality improvement.
