Tennessee Forestry Commission to Meet

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Forestry Commission will meet November 7 at the Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville, Tenn.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. CST in the Ed Jones Auditorium located at 416 Hogan Road.

The agenda includes a review of the previous meeting’s minutes, discussion of hardwood quality and carbon credits, the economic impact of Emerald Ash Borer, the upcoming sunset hearing and an update on the wildfire situation in Tennessee. The budget will be reviewed, along with nursery operations.

Lunch will be provided. The meeting is open to the public.

The Tennessee Forestry Commission comprises seven members representing the public’s interests as they relate to forest resources in the state. The commission advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on forest issues. For more information, contact TDA’s Division of Forestry at 615-837-5520.
