Rural Opportunities Roundtable Comes To Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE— Tennessee departments of Agriculture and Economic and Community Development (ECD) are hosting a Rural Opportunities Roundtable for farmers, landowners, extension agents, local economic development officials, county leaders and citizens in Middle Tennessee. The meeting will take place April 7 at 10 a.m. CDT at the Tennessee Career Center in Linden. Lunch will be provided.

This event is an opportunity for state agencies to update rural areas on programs and opportunities, and give attendees a chance for input on concerns about agriculture and forestry issues. There will be time for open discussion. Agriculture Deputy Commissioner Jai Templeton, ECD Assistant Commissioner Amy New, and other agency representatives will all be on hand to discuss programs and services to support rural economic development.
