Tennessee Beef Groups to Hold Joint Meeting

NASHVILLE– The Tennessee Beef Industry Council and Beef Promotion Board will hold a joint meeting Feb. 1 at 9 a.m. CST at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel located at 2800 Opryland Drive in Nashville, Tenn.

The agenda includes review and approval of minutes, industry reports, financial reviews and a Masters of Beef Advocacy recognition.

The meeting is open to the public.

The Tennessee Beef Industry Council is made up of beef community members nominated by one of the state’s cattle organizations. Its mission is to grow beef demand by producing and marketing the safest, healthiest, most delicious beef that satisfies the desires of an increasingly global population while also managing livestock and natural resources.

The Tennessee Beef Promotion Board was created in 2012 by state law to oversee the collection and use of assessments paid by producers for the purpose of promoting beef and beef products in-state. The Board comprises representatives from the Tennessee Livestock Market Association, Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association, Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, Tennessee Dairy Association and Tennessee Beef Cattle Improvement Initiative.
