Tennessee Soil and Water Conservation Commission to Meet

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Soil and Water Conservation Commission will meet Dec. 6, 2021 in Franklin, Tenn.

The meeting will begin at 12 p.m. CST at the Marriott Cool Springs located at 700 Cool Springs Blvd.

The meeting is open to the public to attend. A quorum of members is expected to be present in person. Other commission members may attend virtually.

The agenda includes approval of the previous meeting’s minutes and reports from partner agencies, organizations, and ex-officio members. The commission will also consider a new seal and discuss support from the Attorney General.

The commission was created by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1939 for the purpose of assisting in the development of local soil conservation districts. The committee advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to soil conservation and water quality improvement.
