Tennessee Soil and Water Conservation Commission to Meet

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Soil and Water Conservation Commission will meet March 22, 2022 at the Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville, Tenn.

The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. CST in the Holeman Building conference room located at 424 Hogan Road.

The meeting is open to the public to attend.

The agenda includes approval of the previous meeting’s minutes and reports from partner agencies, organizations, and ex-officio members. The commission will also discuss qualifications and the approval process for district supervisors and review supervisor training materials.

The commission was created by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1939 for the purpose of assisting in the development of local soil conservation districts. The commission advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to soil conservation and water quality improvement.
