Tennessee AG Joins Bipartisan Group Supporting First Step Act

Tennessee Attorney General Herbert H. Slatery III has joined a bipartisan group of 38 state attorneys general in support of the FIRST STEP Act.

“This criminal justice reform bill would make important adjustments in the federal justice system from the sentencing phase to rehabilitation,” said General Slatery. “It is aptly named legislation, for this is a good first step in equipping those involved in the correctional system to enable better outcomes.”
